Perform district-level Follett Digital title maintenance

From the district-level Discover Admin, you can perform the following actions for district Follett Digital titles:

Important: From district-level Discover Admin, you can access Follett Digital titles ordered by the district (with a district ship-to customer number in Titlewave®). Titles ordered by a site (with a site ship-to customer number in Titlewave) are accessed from site-level Discover Admin.

View or search for titles

You can view lists of current and deleted district Follett Digital titles, or search by title or order number.

  1. Log in to Discover Admin for the district.
  2. Select Title Maintenance.
  3. Do any of the following:

    Click one of the following tabs:

    • District: Includes all current district Follett Digital content
    • Deleted: Includes all deleted district Follett Digital content

    Search by title or order number

    Enter a title or Titlewave order number in the search field, and then click Search icon.. An All tab displays search results. You can click the other tabs to see results filtered by category.

  4. Do any of the following:
    • To narrow a list, use the Format and Interest Level filters.
    • To sort a list, click any column header.
    • To view the next page of the list, use the arrows at the bottom of the page.
    • To change the number of titles that appear per page, use the Titles per page drop-down at the top of the page.

Change the circulation type

When you add new titles, they are assigned the default circulation type. You can change the circulation type for a title in Discover Admin.

  1. Log in to Discover Admin for the district.
  2. Click Title Maintenance.
  3. Find the title(s) you want to change the circulation type for.
  4. Depending on the tab you found the title(s) on, do one of the following:

    The District tab

    1. Next to a title, select the checkbox. If you want to change multiple titles that appear on the same page to the same circulation type, select multiple checkboxes.
    2. From the Actions drop-down at the top of the page, select Change circulation type, and then choose the appropriate circulation type.

    The All tab

    In the Actions column for the title you want to change, select Action menu icon. > Change circulation type, and then choose the appropriate circulation type.

  5. From the pop-up, click Save circulation type to proceed.

Remove titles from sites

You can remove a district title from all sites, and push a removed title back to a site(s) at any time.

Important: If you remove a title from all sites, it will immediately become unavailable to open or check out. However, it will still appear in your catalog until the next Follett Digital Update job, which occurs daily unless you run it manually. Once the Follett Digital Update job runs, there may be a lag before the title no longer appears in Destiny Discover. The title record is only removed from Destiny Back Office if the "Remove titles and copies that are expired or hidden" setting is enabled (Catalog > Search Setup > Digital tab) in Destiny Back Office.   1. Log in to Discover Admin for the district.
  2. Click Title Maintenance.
  3. Find the title(s) you want to remove.
  4. Depending on the tab you found the title(s) on, do one of the following:

    From...

    Do the following...

    The District tab
    1. Next to a title, select the checkbox. If you want to hide multiple titles that appear on the same page, select multiple checkboxes.
    2. From the Actions drop-down at the top of the page, select Remove titles from sites.

    The All tab

    In the Actions column for the title you want to change, select Action menu icon. > Remove title from sites, and then choose the appropriate circulation type.

  5. From the pop-up, click Remove selected titles to proceed.

Delete titles

To permanently remove district titles, you can delete them.

Important:

  • When you delete a district title, it's deleted from the district and all sites. However, if a site purchased the same title (with a site ship-to customer number in Titlewave), that copy can only be deleted at the site level.
  • You cannot reverse the deletion of Follett Digital titles. Deleted titles must be repurchased to add them back to your collection.
  • If you delete a title, it will immediately become unavailable to open or check out. However, it will still appear in your catalog until the next Follett Digital Update job, which occurs daily unless you run it manually. Once the Follett Digital Update job runs, there may be a lag before the title no longer appears in Destiny Discover. The title record is only deleted from Destiny Back Office if the "Remove titles and copies that are expired or hidden" setting is enabled (Catalog > Search Setup > Digital tab) in Destiny Back Office.   • Deleted titles do not appear in the weeding log.
  1. Log in to Discover Admin for the district.
  2. Click Title Maintenance.
  3. Find the title(s) you want to delete.
  4. Depending on the tab you found the title(s) on, do one of the following:

    The District tab
    1. Next to a title, select the checkbox. If you want to delete multiple titles that appear on the same page, select multiple checkboxes.
    2. From the Actions drop-down at the top of the page, select Delete titles.

    The All tab

    In the Actions column for the title you want to change, select Action menu icon. > Delete title.

  5. From the pop-up, click Delete Selected Titles to proceed.

Deleted titles appear on the Deleted tab in Title Maintenance.

To export a CSV list of deleted titles:

  1. Log in to Discover Admin for the district.
  2. Select Title Maintenance > Deleted.
  3. If you only want to include some deleted titles in the CSV, select the checkboxes next to those titles.
  4. From the Export CSV drop-down, select one of the following:
    • Selected titles
    • All titles
  5. From the pop-up, click Export CSV file. The file saves to your computer's Downloads folder.
